Connecting Path & Practitioner
Tashi Chöling ( Auspicious Sanctuary of the Dharma ) exists to facilitate a direct connection to wisdom. We believe that in the right environment, under the guidance of authentic lineage holders, every individual has the capacity for profound awakening. Whether you are here for a weekend teaching or a personal long-term retreat, our doors are open to those seeking a path to true liberation.
The Vision and Mission
Discover your path to liberation at Tashi Chöling—a sanctuary designed to help you connect with authentic lineage holders and awaken your inner wisdom. Our mission is to provide a consecrated container where the profound teachings of the past meet the modern seeker, creating a bridge between ancient tradition and contemporary life.
A Sacred Landscape
The land itself is a pristine and consecrated retreat site located just 21 minutes from Pearl Street, providing accessible solitude and a direct connection to the rugged beauty of the North Boulder foothills. This powerful landscape was formally consecrated in the Summer of 2024 by Bhaka Tulku Rinpoche, imbuing the ground with a unique spiritual resonance that supports deep silence and contemplative practice. Outside, the back patio features a full Vajra Dance mandala, offering a rare opportunity for sacred movement while surrounded by the expansive mountain air and natural scenery.
The Meditation Hall & Event Space
At the heart of our center is the meditation hall, a versatile sanctuary designed for intimate teachings and small gatherings. This serene space offers approximately 400 square feet of flexible room, comfortably accommodating about 35 seated practitioners. With its traditional aesthetic touches and peaceful atmosphere, it provides a perfect setting for focus and reflection.
Modern Facilities & Accommodations
Our center is housed within a beautiful, modern residence that perfectly balances contemporary comfort with a grounded, meditative feel. This unique architectural setting allows you to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the foothills without sacrificing the amenities of a high-quality retreat home.
Every detail of the facility is curated to foster a sense of refuge and presence, whether you are exploring the surrounding trails or resting indoors. For visiting teachers and facilitators, we are happy to offer 2+ bedrooms as part of our retreat rental arrangements.

our Auspicious Sanctuary
Our Team
Our team brings together a diverse range of experiences, all converging on the mission to create a heart-centered sanctuary. At Tashi Chöling, we are more than a retreat center; we are a dedicated collective of practitioners united by a shared vision to anchor ancient wisdom in the modern landscape.
Keith Hirsch
When Keith isn’t focused on his work at Tashi Choling, he practices Classical Five Element Acupuncture and Counseling. In his free time, you can find him carving Mani stones, surfing, or playing the Blues (with some Country and Folk thrown in for good measure!).
Lindsay Samuels
Lindsay first encountered Tibetan Buddhist culture in 2009 during a life-changing trip to Dharamshala, India. The beauty, clarity, and reverence of the teachings inspired a shift in perspective that set her on an entirely new life path. Lindsay is passionate about personal development coaching, playing percussion with her local community orchestra, and racing with her dragon boat team.
Tom Maroshegyi
Tom is currently on an extended personal Dharma pilgrimage through Asia, focusing on his personal practice and supporting various local community projects. These days, he finds himself drawn to the Kathmandu Valley, drawing deep inspiration from the Stupas in Boudhanath and Swayambhunath. He is moved by how these sites serve as vibrant community hubs, kept “activated” by the daily practice of thousands of people.
